Frequently Asked Questions

Can Moen Flo detect a leak behind a wall?
Yes. The system monitors changes in water usage and pressure that may indicate hidden plumbing leaks. However, it cannot pinpoint the exact location of a leak.

Will the system automatically shut off my water?
Yes. When properly configured, Moen Flo can automatically shut off the main water supply in response to certain potentially damaging water events.

Can I control my water while I'm away from home?
Yes. Through the compatible Moen smartphone app, you can monitor water activity, receive alerts, and remotely control your water shutoff.

Will Moen Flo prevent all types of water damage?
No. Moen Flo is designed to monitor the water supply flowing through the device. It does not prevent every plumbing failure or detect all sources of flooding, such as sewer backups, sump pump failures, or groundwater intrusion. Additional water sensors may provide protection in specific areas.

Can installing Moen Flo lower my homeowners insurance premium?
Some insurance providers offer discounts for qualifying automatic water shutoff systems. Contact your insurance carrier to determine whether your policy qualifies.
